November Discipleship Challenge: POWER UP!
They work hard to keep our power on. This November, it's our turn to power them up!
When storms roll through our community, especially during the ice and snow of winter, the 297 employees of Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation (CEMC) work tirelessly, often in dangerous conditions, to restore power and keep our homes, families, and businesses taken care of.
This November, Salem Community Church is adopting the entire CEMC team to say something simple but meaningful: We see you. We appreciate you. And we're thankful for you!
Sunday, November 22, at 9:00 AM, we're turning our gym into a hands-on worship and outreach experience! We'll gather around tables for acoustic worship, a short message, and an opportunity for our entire church family to assemble nearly 300 POWER UP appreciation bags filled with snacks, hand warmers, homemade cookies, and personal notes of encouragement from Salem Kids and our church family.
This isn't just about putting together bags. It's about putting our faith into action, recognizing those who serve behind the scenes, and reminding our community that following Jesus means loving and serving the people around us.
How Can You Participate?
Come Ready to Serve! No registration is needed for our November 22 worship experience. Just show up at 9:00 AM in the gym, ready to worship, serve, and make a difference!
Sign Up to Bring Cookies! Help us make these appreciation bags extra special by baking homemade cookies for CEMC employees! Our goal is to collect 150 dozen cookies, enough to include six cookies in every bag. Whether you can bake two dozen or ten, every contribution helps us show appreciation to those who serve our community!
One church. 297 employees. A whole lot of appreciation.
Join us as we POWER UP the people who help keep our community running!
