Saying Yes to JEsus
Say Yes to Jesus
1
Saying yes to Jesus is the most important decision you will ever make.
The good news of the Bible is not that we work our way to God, clean ourselves up, or become good enough to be accepted. The good news is that God loved us so much that He came near to us through Jesus.
Scripture tells us that every person has sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. Sin separates us from God, but God did not leave us separated. Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Jesus came to rescue us, forgive us, restore us, and bring us into new life with God.
Why We need JEsus
2
The Bible teaches that every person has a sin problem.
Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Sin is more than making mistakes. Sin is the brokenness in us that pulls us away from God, away from His design, and away from the life we were created to live. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
That means our greatest need is not simply self-improvement, religion, or trying harder. Our greatest need is salvation — and salvation is found in Jesus.
What Jesus has done
3
Jesus is God’s answer to humanity’s brokenness.
John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Jesus lived the life we could not live, died the death we deserved, and rose again so that we could be forgiven, made new, and brought back into relationship with God.
Through the cross, Jesus paid the price for our sin. Through the resurrection, Jesus defeated death and made new life possible.
How to respond
4
Salvation is not something we earn. It is a gift we receive by faith.
Romans 10:9 says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
To say yes to Jesus means you turn from sin, place your faith in Him, and surrender your life to His leadership. It means you are no longer trying to save yourself. You are trusting Jesus as Savior and following Him as Lord.
Romans 10:13 says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
A prayer to say yes to jesus
5
You do not have to have perfect words. What matters is a sincere heart turned toward God.
You can pray something like this:
Jesus, I need You. I know I have sinned, and I know I cannot save myself. Thank You for loving me, dying for me, and rising again so I could have new life. Today, I turn from my sin and put my trust in You. Forgive me, make me new, and lead my life from this day forward. I say yes to You. Amen.

I said Yes to Jesus. What’s Next
When you place your faith in Jesus, you are forgiven, made new, and brought into peace with God.
Romans 5:1 says, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Romans 8:1 says, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
That means your past does not have the final word. Shame does not have the final word. Sin does not have the final word. Jesus does.
You are forgiven. You are loved. You are made new. You belong to God.
If you said yes to Jesus, we want to celebrate with you and help you take your next step.
